Edith Lukabwe

Director - Home of Hope
I thank God for God for how far he has brought me since accepting the calling of home of hope. My life has never been the same since home of hope came into existence, however home of hope has come with its own challenges in my personal life and family due to the fact that my family looks to me for survival and my children’s education and this has been made worse due to  my husband losing his job.

Being the vision bearer of home of hope this sometimes makes my family needs not to be apriority as compared to ministry needs. I thank God for bringing Karina into my life and am requesting other friends to help me move on with the birthed 6years ago.

I live in Jinja and work with Home of Hope. However before I got the opportunity to work in Home of Hope, I used to do hair dressing after my ordinary level education, I went and studied hair dressing, there after I looked for jobs because it was not easy to meet most of my needs basing on the fact that life was a struggle. This made me so much frustrated; we are 6 children in the family. But due to financial constraints we didn’t go higher in academics. However, when I was looking for a job I came across Home of Hope. And I was considered to work in Home of Hope, am now a staff in home of hope.

I know feel better working with Home of Hope, I have been able to change my life financially, getting new friends who have stood with me during a lot of challenges and now I pray that God will continue to bless every vessel that is praying for the staff of Home of Hope, we need you and love you so much. Keep praying for us that our future may be bright in Home of Hope.

If I had not come to Home of Hope, the situation was not good financially since my husband does not work and I have 3 children, I prayed to God and he helped me and guided me to Home of Hope where I was considered I have a burden of Educating my children but somehow it’s not easy because of financial l constraints that is to say that there is still financial struggles much as I have peace working with Home of Hope because I believe that’s what God has called me to do and I take pleasure working with children whom my heart love most. I wanted to go to school but I couldn’t go because of finances, I couldn’t have the opportunity. But however I pray that if God answers our prayer and increases on our wages I will be grateful. Thanks for your prayers we are blessed lots of love and increase thank Madam Edith for having a heart of drawing me near and I believe that as time goes on all will be wel

I am glad I have the opportunity to work with Home of Hope and experience the challenges that parents of children with disabilities and their children go through in their everyday life. I thank God for Home of Hope, before I joined Home of Hope, I was still studying and I always loved to do community based work because it’s what I had studied, I looked for jobs of a kind but as time went on and shared my passion with madam Edith, the director of Home of Hope who looked into my concern and granted me a great privilege, however before my financial life was at a coma, I was not able to meet most of my needs, I took time in prayer and to my surprise. I love my work and I believe in madam Edith, the vision God gave her and all effort she has sold out to see God change the lives of the children. Am so happy at Home of Hope and I believe God has called me to see more than I can see.

Mr. Kapere Richard

I lost my parents when I was young at age 6 years, after they died I stayed with my aunt for some time and she also died. I became a street child still life was not easy, the watchmen and security used to beat me up while asking for cigarette and money. I could rarely get something to eat. At some point a lady offered me pig rearing job in Bugembe Village near home of hope. I was not paid and could not get something to eat I could feed on the pigs food. I could get time and play with home of hope children and this is how Edith came to know about me and asked if I could help with washing for the children, my life has never been the same since starting to work for home of hope.

I thank God for leading me to home of hope. I am now married and God has blessed me with five children.

I thank God for Home of Hope, rather before I came to Home of Hope, I used to do commercial work, I could even walk long journeys since there were a lot of financial constraints but above all when God asked madam Edith to start up the vision that’s when I joined home of hope from 2007 to date, I have 3 children and I have been struggling with them to take them to school.

But God has always been good, I feel happy that madam Edith considered me to work with her and am grateful being one of the pillars for home of hope, I love the children so much, am happy each time I see them alive, am happy with all the staff and I know life will always be the best as long as am in home of hope serving God’s children.

I thank God for the opportunity to work in Home of Hope. I was in a village when madam Edith came to the village, I have children and my story was not easy because I had nothing to give my children, however I shared with madam  Edith my story and she considered me to come and work with her and ever since I joined home of hope I enjoy my work and am happy, I have a lot of peace, but while I was in the village life was so hard  even to survive and my parents were so poor even to educate us. Madam Edith called me to work with her and is happy.
